I am a teacher with 35 years experience. I have taught in an extensive number of schools and settings across the State of NSW. In a broad range of roles I have held positions as principal, deputy principal, consultant and senior teacher in NSW Schools.

I hold an arts degree majoring in English from the University of New England and a Diploma in Education.

I have coached high school students very successfully in the last 13 years in the lower north shore of Sydney. Many have achieved outstanding results in their HSC finals.

I have worked extensively with gifted and talented children in OC Classes. My students have been inspired to pursue careers in diplomacy, medicine, law, aviation, engineering, writing, teaching and entrepreneurship among many other rewarding vocations.

As a professional musician, with a strong interest in lyrical composition, I bring a fresh and inspired approach to the poetic form and creative writing.

I use iconic short story writers from the western canon to help model an assured essay style.

I draw on a wealth of knowledge in Poetry, Drama and critical approaches to Literature, all designed to assist students in writing logical cohesive essays and creative pieces.
